This is a great fine motor skills activity that is so easy to set up. All you need is:
- Paper
- Pen
- Cress
- Glue
Here’s how to do it:
- Draw some wavy lines or zig zags across a piece of paper,
- Run some glue across the lines.
- Pull off the cress,
- Place the cress on the glue lines until the line is all covered in cress!
This activity uses a great level of skill, as children have to carefully pull off the cress and then gently press it onto the line of glue. It takes a lot of concentration and focus! My children love being outside and pulling up grass and daisy’s, so I thought pulling off cress would make a fun activity and I was right! We later used the remaining cress to make egg mayonnaise and cress sandwiches…yummy!
